HOTW welcomes every form of performance—poets, playwrights, musicians, jugglers, clowns, letters to friends, comics—anything you want to share.

Events are open mic-style and each show features a curated selection of visual artists.
♡BYOB, 4 mins per performer, music must be acoustic♡

Just show up, put your name in the hat, sit back and enjoy!

You do not have to call yourself an artist to perform at HOTW! We believe all forms of creative expression are meaningful, creativity is broadly defined, and sharing for a group contributes to collective joy.

FAQs

  • Open mic style. Sign up when you arrive. We invite creators of every variety to participate!

    4 mins per performer, music must be acoustic

    BYOB + BYOSnacks

    • Doors: mingle, check out our featured artists, add your name to the hat if you want to perform

    • Show time: Jordan kicks off the show, pulls names from a hat, intros each artist

    • Shows last ~60-70 mins depending on how many folks sign up. There is time after to hang out, buy some art, make some friends

    • Closing: we’ll head to a bar nearby to celebrate your artistic bravery!

  • $10 donations are suggested, but the show is always free.

  • Each show features a curated selection of visual artists. Sometimes their work is for sale, sometimes it’s just for fun.
